After 3 long sunny days hand picking our olives, we took our first harvest to the wonderful Tini family of specialists who turned our olives into the most delicious picante olive oil. Our harvest was small compared to the farmers waiting with us for their turn but the Tini family showed us the utmost kindness and attention. The Tini daughter-in-law Roberta, who is also their marketing manager, spoke perfect English, which allowed us to fully enter into the excitement of each stage in the process. After 3 hours we received our liquid gold in our little 20L can. Our joy at receiving this marvelous gift of nature knew no bounds.
Their website is worth a visit – it is artistically beautiful and provides plenty of interesting information about olives, olive trees and the 4000-year history of olive oil.
